The Nov 13 reception for our current artist, Wolf Kretlow, drew a nice crowd. With great interest people viewed his photographs of historic Union county, many amazed that such old structures still existed. Mayor of Elizabeth, J. Christian Bollwage, was in attendance and thrilled to see the historic photographs of his city.

Most residents of NJ don’t know that the state has such a long and important past and that many of the structures in Wolf’s photographs played an important part in shaping that history. Stay tuned for a future blog entry where I will be focusing in on the American history behind the photographs.
