“A Voyage Through the Cosmos”

Helder Jacinto was born in Portugal where the night sky was much darker than in NJ making the stars more visible. He has always been interested in astronomy and read many books on the planets and the cosmos. Although he owned telescopes, he never considered astronomy as a hobby until he visited the Sperry Observatory at Union County College. He joined an on campus astronomy club, Amateur Astronomers Inc., and learned to take images of the night sky.  On clear nights, the sky calls and he sets up his telescopes and cameras to capture the breathtaking images that you see in this exhibit.

This is his first gallery exhibit.
